The internal boring machine for milling bearing housings is used to perform internal boring in the bearing housing after the casting process, by means of three basic movements that operate separately: The first movement is the housing clamping press, which operates hydraulically via a hydraulic power unit inside the machine body. The press is fitted with a special fixture for each housing, which is mounted on the press and on the machine base. The second movement is the rotating cutter, which runs continuously by an electric motor. A special cutter is fitted for each bearing size. The cutter consists of a set of small milling inserts assembled to the appropriate size. The third movement is the slow offset of the cutter from the housing center during rotation. The offset increases with each revolution until the required diameter is reached. Then the movement is reversed to return to the starting point. The third offset movement is equipped with an additional electrical control circuit that is set to the required size and operates automatically with a single press to increase the diameter to the desired size, then reverse the movement to return to the starting point.
