The crusher is used to break large plastic pieces into small sizes that are used directly afterwards in recycling operations, and these pieces can also be washed and pelletized when needed. The crusher operates via an electric motor connected to the drive shaft, on which a set of cutting blades is mounted, in addition to another set of stationary blades in the outer body of the crusher. When the blade shaft rotates, the plastic is cut, then the plastic returns again for re-cutting with the rotation of the blades, and so on until the plastic reaches the appropriate size, then it exits through the lower screen of the crusher, which acts as a filter to return large sizes for re-crushing. The crusher is equipped with an upper hopper used to feed the crusher with plastic, and it is also equipped with a lower chute to direct the resulting plastic out of the crusher. PE, PP, PVC, and PET materials can be crushed on the crusher.
