Tire
Shredder
Model
RS218 |

The tire shredder is the first stage of tire recycling, where it
cuts whole tires into rubber strips. These strips can then be fed
into the second stage of recycling, which is grinding and sorting.
The strips can also be sold directly as-is for many uses, such as
fuel for some industries and as raw material for other industries.
The shredder operates on two shafts, each fitted with a set of
cutting knives, and each shaft is driven by an electric motor and a
suitable speed reducer. The shredder is also equipped with feed and
discharge conveyors. Operation is controlled from an electrical
control panel equipped with the necessary protection, and it
features automatic reverse and restart when the load increases.
The shredder frame has a unique design that allows any part to be
pulled out easily without dismantling other parts, which facilitates
installation and maintenance. The shredder is manufactured entirely
on computer-controlled laser machines, and parts are assembled with
bolted connections without any welding, ensuring dimensional
accuracy and making maintenance and spare-part replacement
completely easy.
The shredder produces up to 1,000 kg of rubber strips per hour using
only three workers, with electricity consumption of less than 64
kWh, and requires no more than 100 square meters with suitable
height for installation. This is in addition to storage areas for
incoming tires and for the produced strips. When operated as part of
a recycling line, the same labor and the same space are used within
the production line.
